![]() ![]() Of the problem, but I do not know why there are so many registry entries here. Other servers I have in Azure have only a few hundred entries in HKLM\SYSTEM\WPA. I have watched sppsvc.exe with ProcMon, and found that it is spending its time scanning through the 6500 registry entries in HKLM\SYSTEM\WPA. ![]() This makes many programs unusable because they are waiting for sppsvc.exe to return. Any time you try to access something that uses this service (look at Windows activation status, try to use Office, etc), this process uses 50% of theĬPU (I assume this means maxing out one CPU core) for about 15 minutes before it returns. I have a VM that seems to be having trouble with the Software Protection Platform Service (sppsvc.exe). ![]()
